Where we meet you

Sukošan spreads a long way along the shore, so send us the pin for wherever you're staying when you book and we'll drive to it — apartment, campsite, or one of the access points down to the bay. If you're on a boat, we come into Marina Dalmacija itself and hand the boards over at your berth, so nothing has to be carried through the car park. Just tell us the pontoon and berth number when you reserve.

The water and the entry

Sukošan sits on a wide, shallow bay that curls back on itself, and that shape is the whole appeal for paddling: it's sheltered from almost every direction and the water inside it stays flat when the open channel is already choppy. The shore is a mix of pebble beach and concrete bathing platforms, with a gentle, shallow entry that goes on for a while — you can walk out a long way before it reaches your waist, which makes getting on the board much less dramatic than off a rock shelf.

Where to paddle from Sukošan

The obvious paddle is the bay itself: hug the shore, follow the curve, and you get a couple of kilometres of protected flat water with the Pašman channel and the islands sitting out in front of you. It's an easy hour there and back. The one thing to keep an eye on is boat traffic — this is a working marina area, so stay well inside the moored boats, keep clear of the fairway where craft come and go, and be visible. Early morning is both the calmest water and the quietest hour on the water.

Staying in Sukošan?

Sukošan is apartments, campsites and boat people. If you're on a pitch or in a rental with no roof rack, delivery is the point — we bring the boards to you and take them away again, so nothing has to fit in the car. If you're here on a boat, we come to the berth and the boards pack down into a bag small enough to stow, which is why a multi-day rental tends to make more sense than a single day: at seven days you're paying €9 a day per board instead of €15.

We had such an amazing time paddleboarding - beforehand we had lots of contact explaining where would be best to meet, routes to take etc. They were incredibly flexible with timings for pick up as we weren’t sure our plans for the day and even changed the day completely due to wind. Part way through one of us stood on a sea urchin ( we had no idea what to do) so called them for information, they came and helped take the spikes out and even dropped us home, giving us dinner recommendations in the mean time which most definitely hit the spot. I cannot say enough how brilliant our experience was even with the hiccups along the way, this is the best SUP company in zadar !!!

Yes. We drive into Marina Dalmacija and bring the boards to your berth — you don't need to meet us in the car park or carry anything down the pontoon. Give us the pontoon and berth number when you book. The boards also pack into bags small enough to stow on board.

How much does SUP rental in Sukošan cost?

€15 per board for one day, €36 for three days (€12 a day) and €63 for a week (€9 a day). Delivery to Sukošan adds €15 to the reservation. Collecting the boards from our base in Zadar yourself is free.

Is the water in Sukošan calm enough for paddleboarding?

Usually, yes. Sukošan sits on a wide, shallow bay that shelters it from most wind directions, so the water inside the bay often stays flat when the open channel is already choppy. Mornings are calmest.

Is it safe to paddle near the marina?

It is, with a bit of care. Stay inside the line of moored boats, keep clear of the fairway where boats enter and leave, and avoid paddling across it. Early morning is the quietest time on the water.

Do I have to pay when I book?
