1. Provider
These Terms govern the rental of stand-up paddleboards ("SUPs") and related delivery services provided by:

By placing a booking you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.
2. Services
Salty Society rents recreational stand-up paddleboards with optional delivery to the Customer's chosen location within our service area in Zadar and surroundings (Borik, Diklo, Petrčane, Nin, Zadar city centre).
3. Booking and Conclusion of Contract
A binding rental contract is concluded when we confirm your booking by email, WhatsApp, or phone. The Customer must be at least 18 years old, or accompanied by a legal guardian.
4. Price and Payment
- Standard rental price: EUR 23 per board per day.
- Prices include VAT where applicable.
- Payment is made in cash on delivery or via methods agreed in advance (bank transfer, card, Revolut).
- An invoice (R-1 račun) is issued upon request in accordance with Croatian tax law.
5. Delivery and Pickup
Delivery and pickup times are agreed in advance. The Customer must be present at the agreed location and time. Delays caused by the Customer may shorten the rental period without refund.
6. Cancellation and Right of Withdrawal
Under Article 86(12) of the Croatian Consumer Protection Act (Zakon o zaštiti potrošača), the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to services for leisure activities provided on a specific date or within a specific period. SUP rentals fall under this exception.
Voluntary cancellation policy:
- More than 24 h before delivery: free cancellation, no charge.
- Less than 24 h before delivery: 50% of the rental price may be charged.
- No-show or cancellation on the day: 100% of the rental price may be charged.
- Bad weather: if conditions are unsafe in our reasonable judgement, we will offer a free rescheduling or full refund.
7. Customer Responsibilities
- The Customer confirms they are in good physical condition and able to swim. SUP use is at the Customer's own risk.
- Personal flotation devices (PFDs) are provided and must be worn when required by law.
- The Customer must follow Croatian maritime regulations, respect designated swimming zones, and avoid restricted areas (ports, fairways, etc.).
- The Customer must not use the equipment under the influence of alcohol or drugs, in dangerous weather, or after dark.
- The equipment must be returned in the condition in which it was received.
8. Damage, Loss, and Theft
The Customer is liable for any damage, loss, or theft of the equipment during the rental period, except where caused by manufacturer defect or normal wear and tear. Replacement cost is based on the current market value of the board and accessories.
9. Liability
Salty Society's liability is limited to the extent permitted by Croatian law. We are not liable for personal injury, loss of personal belongings, or damage resulting from improper use, weather, or third-party actions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
10. Complaints (Prigovor potrošača)
In accordance with Article 10 of the Consumer Protection Act, written complaints may be submitted to:

We will confirm receipt without delay and provide a written reply within 15 days.
11. Online Dispute Resolution
The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution platform available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court in Zadar, Croatia, without prejudice to the consumer's mandatory statutory rights.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
