Where we meet you

We meet you wherever you're staying in Kožino — outside the apartment, at the gate, or down on the waterfront if you'd rather start from the water. Kožino is a village of holiday houses on narrow lanes rather than a resort with a reception desk, so the simplest thing is to send us the pin from Google Maps or Booking when you reserve and we'll come to it. Parking is easy outside July and August; in peak season it's worth having us drop the boards rather than hunting for a space by the shore.

The water and the entry

The Kožino shoreline is the same low limestone shelf that runs the whole way from Diklo up to Petrčane, broken by small pebble pockets and a few concrete bathing platforms. There's no wide sandy beach here, which is exactly why it stays quiet in August. Entry is easiest from one of the pebble pockets or by stepping off a platform in knee-deep water; a pair of reef shoes makes it painless. The bottom shelves off gently and the water is clear enough to watch the rocks pass under the board.

Where to paddle from Kožino

Turn southeast and you're paddling the coast toward Diklo and Punta Bajlo — a chain of small coves and pine-shaded shelves, about 30–45 minutes at an easy pace, and the best direction for a first outing. Turn northwest instead and the shoreline runs on toward Petrčane, with the Velebit mountains standing up across the channel and the island of Ugljan low to the southwest. Mornings are glass. From roughly 1pm the maestral comes in off the northwest and puts a light chop on the water, so plan the longer paddle before lunch and keep the afternoon for the short one.

We had such an amazing time paddleboarding - beforehand we had lots of contact explaining where would be best to meet, routes to take etc. They were incredibly flexible with timings for pick up as we weren’t sure our plans for the day and even changed the day completely due to wind. Part way through one of us stood on a sea urchin ( we had no idea what to do) so called them for information, they came and helped take the spikes out and even dropped us home, giving us dinner recommendations in the mean time which most definitely hit the spot. I cannot say enough how brilliant our experience was even with the hiccups along the way, this is the best SUP company in zadar !!!

Yes, as long as you go out in the morning. The water along the Kožino shore is usually flat and clear before midday, and it stays shallow close in. The entry is rock and pebble rather than sand, so reef shoes help. If you want sand underfoot and waist-deep water for hundreds of metres, the Nin lagoon half an hour north is the gentler option.

How long does delivery to Kožino take?

Kožino is about 8 km from our base in Zadar, roughly 15 minutes' drive outside peak traffic. We agree an exact time with you over WhatsApp before we set off, so you're not waiting around.

Do I have to pay when I book?

No. There's no prepayment and no card needed to reserve. You pay cash when we hand over the boards, and if the sea turns out to be unsafe to paddle you can reschedule or cancel free of charge.
